All of the Town’s recreation facilities, including Iroquois Park Sports Centre, will be closed to the public effective today, April 1, at the close of regular facility hours until further notice. This includes the Whitby Civic Recreation Complex health club, as well as all indoor ice rinks and pools. This means pool permits, ice permits and private meeting room bookings have also been suspended until further notice. Refunds will be issued for any cancelled permits or bookings. All memberships have been or will be placed on hold and pre-authorized payments suspended. For membership questions or cancellations, please contact us at getactive@whitby.ca.

Please note that McKinney Arena will continue to operate as a COVID-19 vaccination site.

Maximum of two children 6-years-old and under, regardless of swimming ability, will not be admitted to the pool unless they're with a parent or guardian who is at least 14-years-old. The parent or guardian must be in the water within arm's reach of the child. As a parent or guardian, you can swim with two children who are 6 years of age or under.
Children between the ages of seven and nine must successfully pass the two-width swim test, administered by Aquatic staff, to be eligible to swim alone. Children in this age range who do not pass the swim test are required to have a parent/guardian in the water within arm's reach at all times.
Children 10-years-old and older are permitted to swim on their own.
Anne Ottenbrite Pool (at Iroquois Park Sports Centre) is open for registered lane, parent and tot and public swim times.
Registered times will be made available up to five days in advance of a swim time. Registration opens weekly on Thursday's at 9:00a.m. online and by phone 905.668.7765

At this time, the Town of Whitby is only serving customers who live in Durham Region or other Regions/Health Units that are in the red, orange, yellow, and green zones in the Province’s reopening framework. Anyone who lives in Regions/Health Units that are in grey-lockdown zones are asked to delay their visit at this time.
