Experience the essence of an "olde time Christmas" and rediscover the magic of small-town traditions with family and friends as we kick off the holiday season in Grass Park (Downtown Brooklin) at the annual Christmas in the Village event.
Join us on Friday, November 25, 2022 from 6 pm to 9 pm (NEW hours).
Don't miss seasonal entertainment, crafts and activities, photo opportunities, the countdown to light the park, holiday treats, refreshments and so much more.
New this year there will be warming stations throughout the park and a Bebe station offering a quiet area for changing or feeding inside the Brooklin United Church.
This year, local vendors and the Whitby Farmers Market will also be joining us offering a variety of snacks and dinner options as well as seasonal items!
This event is free to attend.
Santa Claus |
During your visit, catch a glimpse of your favourite and jolliest man in Town. Take a photo and bring your letters to Santa that will be sent to the North Pole! |
Entertainment |
Starting shortly after 6 pm, join Santa, the Mayor and Council for the countdown to help light the park. Enjoy entertainment by Aaron Roberts, Riley Wheater & Friends, The Doozies and seasonal entertainers throughout the evening. |
Whitby Farmers Market |
Whitby Farmers Market vendors will be outside offering hot refreshments, delicious treats, and dinner snacks. Many additional vendors inside the Brooklin United Church give you the opportunity to shop local and find that unique Christmas gift! |
Crate & Sleigh food & toy drive |
Tis’ the Season … The Joy of Giving! Please remember to bring non perishable food items or toys and join the Town of Whitby and The Blooming Crate as we try to “Fill the Crate & Sleigh” in support of Durham’s Feed the Need food and Toy Drive. |
