Whitby Lights the Night and Holiday Festival is an annual event that marks the official start to the holiday season held over six weeks. Starting November 25 to January 5, enjoy 100,000 magical lights and illuminated ground displays that transform Whitby Civic Park (555 Rossland Road), Grass Park (41 Baldwin St) and Celebration Square (405 Dundas Street West). The lights will be on daily from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Throughout the six weeks enjoy the many holiday events to choose from.

Whitby Farmers’ Market at Night | ||
The Farmers Market is back for two nights of great holiday shopping from some of your favourite vendors. December 1 and December 8 from 3 pm to 8 pm at the Whitby Civic Recreation Complex lower parking lot. Parking is available at Town Hall. |

Downtown Whitby BIA Christmas Market | ||
It's back! The fourth -annual Downtown Whitby Christmas Market will be held on Friday, December 3 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 4 from 12:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at Celebration Square in front of the Whitby Public Library at 405 Dundas St. W. Christmas Market highlights the best that Durham Region has to offer in both shopping and grassroots musical talent. As an organization whose sole mission is to provide, enhance and improve the geographic area we serve, the DWBIA is overjoyed to be bringing this wonderful event back to the residents and businesses of Whitby. Each year, the Christmas Market allows friends and families to come together to celebrate the spirit of Christmas by enjoying winter activities, live music, delicious eats, warm fires, white lights and the best holiday shopping in Durham Region. This free event takes place outdoors and is open to attendees of all ages. |

The Whitby Santa Claus Parade has been held on the first Saturday of December for 50+ years. An event for all ages, the Whitby Santa Claus Parade showcases over 50 organizations holiday spirit as they move along the Brock St. parade route. The parade is Saturday December 3 starting at 10:00 a.m. |
