On December 16, the Ontario government announced details of the second phase of COVID-19 relief funding for Ontario municipalities, including the Town of Whitby, for 2021. In follow up to this announcement, Mayor Don Mitchell has issued the following statement:

Building on the feedback collected from residents in June, the Town of Whitby is seeking input from the community to help inform the development of the Highway 7/12 Alternative Route in north Whitby.
