The Town of Whitby invites residents to participate in an upcoming virtual Community Open House (COH) being held on connectwhitby.ca between March 22 and April 12. Its purpose: to gather community feedback on the proposed playground design for the new Lynde Creek Park. In December 2019, the Town of Whitby was host to Rogers Home Town Hockey in partnership with the National Hockey League (NHL). At that time, the Town of Whitby was selected by Rogers Home Town Hockey and the NHL to be a recipient of new hockey and basketball combination nets.
Country Lane Park was selected by staff as the appropriate location to install the new nets. As such, Country Lane Basketball Court will be closed for renovation from March 22, 2021 and is expected to reopen April 30, 2021....
