Vitality Juice Co.: Bringing Healthy Living to Brooklin, One Juice at a Time

A lifelong Whitby resident and trained raw food chef, Lauren noticed that while juice bars and health-focused cafés were becoming popular in larger urban centres, there were few options closer to home.  

“I wanted to see something like this exist in Durham Region,” she says. “There were great options in Toronto, but not many here.” 

What began as making juices and wellness products for herself, friends, and family quickly evolved into a growing business. Today, Vitality Juice Co.’s Brooklin storefront offers cold-pressed juices, smoothies, nutritious snacks, and wellness-focused products that support healthy lifestyles while fitting into busy schedules. 

At the heart of the business is a simple philosophy: food should make you feel good while still tasting great. Lauren and her team carefully select ingredients based on both flavour and nutritional value, incorporating nutrient-dense ingredients such as cacao, wild blueberries, leafy greens, and plant-based proteins into many of their products. 

“It’s fun, functional, and feel-good,” Lauren explains. “There’s a purpose behind everything we create.” 

For many customers, the appeal lies in convenience. “Sometimes you don’t have time to purchase all the vegetables, prep them, and fit everything into your day,” says Lauren. “We’re trying to make those nutrients easier to access.” 

Long before opening its Brooklin location in 2022, Vitality Juice Co. built a loyal customer base through farmers’ markets, wellness events, fitness studios, and online sales throughout Durham Region. When the storefront opened, many customers were already familiar with the brand and excited to have a permanent location where they could access their favourite products year-round. 

The business has continued to grow through a combination of word-of-mouth, community involvement, and a strong local customer base. However, Lauren notes that awareness remains one of the biggest challenges. Despite Brooklin’s growth, many visitors still discover Vitality Juice Co. for the first time through local events, recommendations from friends, or simply exploring the community. 

As more people choose to shop local and support independent businesses, that growing awareness continues to bring new customers through the door from across Whitby, Durham Region, and beyond. 

For Lauren, Brooklin and Whitby have been an ideal place to grow a business. The community has embraced the concept, supported local entrepreneurs, and created an environment where unique businesses can thrive. That support, combined with Whitby’s continued residential and commercial growth, has helped Vitality Juice Co. establish itself as a destination for residents and visitors alike. 

Beyond its menu, the business has become known for its involvement in the community through wellness fairs, workshops, outdoor yoga events, and local markets. “We’re always thinking about how we can improve and come up with new ideas,” Lauren says. “Our team is constantly bringing creative energy and new ideas to the table.”
