Celebrating The Civic Holiday in Whitby
As you get ready for the August long weekend, here is what you need to know:
Exploring the Outdoors
Summer is a great time to explore Whitby’s parks and trails. Visit our interactive map to find one near you.
While visiting our parks, please do your part to help keep our outdoor spaces as beautiful as they were when you found them by putting waste in its place or taking home what you bring. And remember, if you’re looking to use a BBQ in one of Whitby’s picnic shelters, a permit is required. Learn how to apply for a permit.
Catch Up on Your Reading
Long weekends are a great time to relax and catch up on your reading. All Whitby Public Library locations will be closed on Monday, August 3. Digital content is available 24/7 at WhitbyLibrary.ca.
