With a $2.6 million Federal Active Transportation Fund grant, Whitby is installing a brand-new pedestrian bridge, constructing wider trails, and upgrading a portion of the boardwalk. From shade structures to strategically located trees and green infrastructure, these recommendations will help the Town address its climate change objectives and support environmental sustainability within the community. Description: Recycle those "non-recyclable" items by dropping them off at the Central Library (one day only). Accepted items: Brita filters, printer ink cartridges, toothbrushes, disposable razors, used pens, markers and highlighters. Brought to you by the Rotary Club. Reduce, Reuse, Compost!
