The Town of Whitby would like to advise residents that the Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) has scheduled construction at the intersection of Brock Street and Whitby GO Station for this weekend (December 4 to 6), weather permitting. MTO has advised that this will impact traffic traveling on Brock Street, Whitby GO Access (to/from Brock Street), Consumers Drive, Victoria Street, and the Highway 401 eastbound on-ramp and off-ramp at Brock Street as follows:

The Town of Whitby would like to advise residents that the Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) has scheduled a full closure of Highway 401, between Thickson Road and Lake Ridge Road, and Brock Street, between Consumers Drive and the Whitby GO Station Access, for this weekend (June 20 and 21). The closure is needed during the demolition of the final portion of the old Brock Street bridge over Highway 401.

The Town of Whitby has made the decision to cancel its annual Canada Day celebrations in light of COVID-19 and the urgent need to continue physical distancing to prevent the spread of the virus. The event was previously planned to be held on July 1, 2020 at Victoria Fields and the Waterfront.
