Leaf and yard waste is collected bi-weekly (every other week) on your regular garbage collection day, from April until late November or early December, depending on your schedule. Refer to your waste management calendar.
Place your yard waste in kraft paper bags or approved open-top reusable containers.
Maximum weight per bag/container is 20 kilograms (44 pounds).
Maximum 16 items per collection (limit does not apply for bagged leaves in the fall months).
Maximum height of approved container: 66 centimetres (26 inches).
All brush must be bundled.
Securely tie brush in bundles no larger than 1 metre (3 feet) in length and 76 centimetres (30 inches) in width.
Individual brush and tree branches within bundles must not be greater than 10 centimetres (4 inches) in diameter.

Christmas Tree Collection
Natural Christmas trees are collected on a designated week in January. Please be sure to remove all decorations, wiring, stands, and plastic bags. Christmas trees frozen in snow banks will not be collected.
Natural Christmas trees exceeding 3 metres (10 feet) in length should be cut in half for collection.
