Wanda is a 5 month old Corso x Dogo x Australian Shep thats been looking for her forever home for quite some time now. Luckily, she has been in foster soaking up all of the love and cuddles she can get. Wanda is a very sweet girl, who gets along well with other dogs and could play all day long! She especially loves being outside in the backyard where she can get all of her zoomies out. Wanda is learning basic commands but would benefit from continuous training - this breed loves to be worked and would do well being given a job! Wanda has been vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. Rose is a 2 year old Malinois Shep x who was found as a stray and never claimed. She is extremely well house broken, yay, but will need some training on how to be a calm well natured girl! She has a lot of energy to burn off so an active lifestyle is in her cards! Rose would benefit from an owner who is home often and will work with her daily. Millie is a 4.5 month old Corso x Dogo x Aussie looking for her forever home! Millie is a very smart girl! She is taking well to her training, is "sitting" for her treats and is so excited to meet any new person that wants to show her attention! Millie loves other dogs, and would benefit from living with a pal! She is very well socialized with kids, other pets and strangers. Charlie was initially found as a stray but ended up being dumped by his previous owner. Charlie is around 5.5 months old and a boxer x bulldog mix. Charlie was very scared on arrival but after a few weeks he has surely found his personality! Charlie is currently being fostered in a household full of children, other dogs and cats. His foster mama says he is becoming quite the cuddly boy and is very smart! Charlie will benefit from training and stability, so we are hoping to put him into a home that has enough time to give the attention he needs. Petunia is a 2 year old guinea pig who was surrendered by her previous owner. Petunia is currently best friends with our resident bunny and would love another friend in her new home! Eugene is a 3 year old cat that was brought into the shelter after being abandoned. This handsome guy was extremely terrified upon arrival and untrusting of humans. ET & Netty were dumped on a rural property a few months ago. They were terrified and completely shut down when their finder was able to trap them and bring them in. They have been in the house for a few months now and have made strides. They enjoy being pet and will purr from time to time! They are quite social once they get to know you. Snowy was apparently not always using the litterbox in the home, but has been using it consistently in shelter. Pumpkin and Spice were trapped from a feral cat colony. They were a tad feral on arrival but it has been a few weeks now and they are finally coming out of their shell! They would do best in a quiet home with someone who is around most of the time. Someone with patience that will allow them to take their time in trusting that the world just might not be so bad! Bruce is a domestic cat that was suffering from a blockage. Thankfully, Team Chelsea took him on to ensure he received the life saving treatment he required. Bruce is a very friendly boy who loves his food! He will require to stay on a prescription diet to prevent another blockage from happening. Animal meet-and-greets at the Animal Services Centre are by appointment only, and based on an approved application. Due to the large number of applications that come in for certain animals, a handful of approved applications will be called and booked for meet-and-greets.
The Animal Services Centre is located 4680 Thickson Rd. N., and we are open Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Our office is closed on Sundays and Statutory Holidays.
Adoption fees for cats and dogs include spaying or neutering, vaccination and a one-year animal licence. All fees are subject to HST:
