Due to the ongoing labour disruption and the Town’s resulting focus on essential service delivery, all Regular Council and Committee Meetings, as well as facility permits, will be cancelled for the remainder of the month. Notification of these cancellations will be communicated directly to interested parties and facility permit holders.

During this time, Special Council Meetings may still be scheduled as needed to deal with urgent matters, including the consideration of the agreement with the Region of Durham related to the use of the proposed 1635 Dundas shelter. The Town remains available to resume talks with CUPE Local 53 to have meaningful discussions regarding the need for more flexible hours of work and scheduling to better support programs and services that meet community needs.
