The Town of Whitby invites residents and business owners to share their feedback on new regulations and licensing standards being created for short-term rental properties and companies operating in Whitby.

The goal: to balance support for local tourism with the need to address community concerns associated with short-term rentals, such as noise, garbage, and parking.

Residents, business owners, and short-term rental operators are invited to complete a survey by May 18 to share their experiences and help shape the future of short-term rentals in Whitby.

Topics include:

• living with short-term rentals in our neighbourhoods;
• the importance of regulating short-term rentals within the community; and,
• the economic impact of short-term rentals on the Town’s local businesses and tourism industry.

Feedback collected will help inform Whitby Town Council as they make a decision on regulating and licensing short-term rentals.
