The Town of Whitby has a number of playground replacement and trail construction projects planned for 2019.
The Town has more than 120 parks, over 90 playgrounds, 15 splash pads and 60 plus kilometres of trails. As part of the proposed 2019 budget, planning, designing and construction of parks and well as the redevelopment and upgrading of aging parks is being completed.
On Tuesday, February 12 residents are invited to learn more and provide feedback on the following projects:

Whitby seniors now have a new way to connect with others from the comfort of their own home or care facility. The new ‘Seniors Without Walls’ Program, launched by the Town’s Age-Friendly Network in partnership with the Whitby Public Library, provides seniors the opportunity to participate in a rich and vibrant social community by phone.
