Celebrating Victoria Day in Whitby 2026!
Victoria Day weekend is nearly here! As you get ready to celebrate, here is what you need to know:
Explore Whitby's Parks and Trails
Did you know? Finding a park is easier than ever! Try our artificial intelligence-powered (AI) chatbot, WhitBEE (or Whit), on whitby.ca. Look for her in the bottom right of the home page. Ask Whit something like 'What parks are closest to 575 Rossland Road East' and enjoy.
While visiting our parks, please do your part to help keep our outdoor spaces as beautiful as they were when you found them by putting waste in its place or taking home what you bring. And remember, if you’re looking to use a BBQ in one of Whitby’s picnic shelters, a permit is required. Learn how to apply for a permit.
Fireworks Use: Permitted on Monday, May 18 Only
Fireworks are only permitted on Monday, May 18 from dusk to 11 p.m. and only on private property with the owner’s permission. Should you choose to use them, please be safe, responsible, and considerate of your neighbours. Visit whitby.ca/Fireworks for safety tips from Deputy Fire Chief Glenn Green of Whitby Fire.
