Whitby to Host FIFA World Cup Watch Party Events

Whitby residents and visitors are invited to come together this June to cheer on Team Canada at two FIFA World Cup Watch Party community viewing events hosted by the Town of Whitby and Whitby FC.

Public viewing parties will be held on June 12 and June 18, transforming local spaces into gathering places for fans of all ages.

On June 12, fans are invited to Civic Park (575 Rossland Road East) beside Whitby Town Hall to watch the Canada versus Bosnia and Herzegovina game from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on a giant outdoor inflatable screen.

The celebration continues June 18 outside the Whitby Soccer Dome (695 Rossland Road), where fans can gather for the Canada versus Qatar game from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event is hosted in partnership with Whitby FC.

These are outdoor events, so bring a lawn chair or blanket, get comfortable, and enjoy the game with fellow fans.
