Many resident accounts have already been verified and do not require any further action. However, if your account does need to be verified, you will be contacted directly by the Town of Whitby by email or phone.

What happens if I don’t verify my account?
- If your account isn't verified by June 1, 2026, it will be marked as non-resident and will not be able to take advantage of resident first benefits.
Can I email my driver’s licence or documents to verify my account?
- For privacy and security reasons, verification cannot be completed by email. Residents are required to verify their account in person so staff can securely confirm their identity against valid identification.
