Community Connection
Community Connection is a community organization that provides affordable recreation, leisure and special interest programs for all ages. Community Connection works with the Town of Whitby and the Durham District School Board to offer a wide variety of evening programs, which include sports, martial arts, and dance.
During the summer Community Connection offers Day Camp, Kinder Camp and Counsellor in Training Volunteer Placement at our John Dryden P.S. location.
The organization uses local school facilities to host programming and all profits are invested back into schools, projects, initiatives and special events in the community.

Instructor opportunities
We are looking for convenors! Community Connection has openings for part-time convenors within the following areas:
- Badminton Convenors – Lead game organization, explain basic rules and scoring, coordinate participants, and promote sportsmanship during play.
- Pickleball Convenors – Lead game organization, explain basic rules and scoring, coordinate participants, and promote sportsmanship during play.
- Volleyball Convenors – Lead game organization, explain basic rules and scoring, coordinate participants, and promote sportsmanship during play.
- Soccer Convenors – Lead game organization, explain basic rules and scoring, coordinate participants, and promote sportsmanship during play.
Eligible applicants must be available one weeknight per week from 5:30p.m. – 9:00p.m.
