Skating Schedules and Arenas

We operate three community centres with 10 different arenas throughout Whitby. Our community programs include skating and a variety of ice sports for families and individuals of all ages.

Check out our facility rentals page on more information on how to rent ice and floor time. Iroquois Park Sports Centre also offers an adult hockey league. For learn to skate programs please visit our Community and Sports Organizations page for information on organizations who provide learn to skate programs.  Please note that we do not offer Skate rentals at any of our arena locations.

Join us for a Halloween Skate on Friday October 31st, 4:15 - 6:00 PM at McKinney Centre! Wear your costume and kick off your trick or treating early, just remember your CSA approved helmets (required for children, strongly recommended for adults). Costumes should not include loose items, masks, weapons, sequins, or glitter.

Skating Fees

Take a brisk skate during your lunch hour for fitness and enjoyment. This skate is offered to adults 18 years of age and older. The Town of Whitby strongly recommends the use of CSA approved head protection for all ice activities.

Fees

  • $5.03 for single use
  • $44.26 for 10-use pass

HST is not included.

Stay in the game and keep in shape with this drop-in shinny program. Full protective equipment is required. You must be 18 years of age or older to participate. 

Fees

  • $7.56 for single use
  • $61.67 for 10-use pass
  • goalies play free of charge (limit of two goalies)

HST is not included.

Have fun and stay fit with this drop-in, unsupervised shinny program for women. Full protective equipment is required. This program is available to those 18 years of age and older.

Teach your children to skate and enjoy time together on the ice. We provide the music. All participants must wear skates on the ice. Limit of two children per adult.

Take a leisure spin around the ice with your friends and family. Please note that the Town of Whitby does not have skates available to rent. The Town of Whitby strongly recommends the use of CSA approved head protection for all ice activities.

  • $3.36 for children (ages 4 to 17)
  • $13.54 for families (two adults and three children residing in same household)
  • $3.36 for 55+ 

10-use pass fees:

  • $44.26 for adults

  • $112.21 for families (two adults and three children living in same household)
  • $29.63 for seniors (55+)

A pay-as-you-go figure skating program for Canadian Figure Skating Association member figure skaters. You must be accompanied by your coach.

Participate in a supervised game of pick-up hockey in a fun, recreational environment with other youth members between the ages of 8 and 10, or 11 and 14. Boys and girls are welcome and full protective equipment is required.

  • Goalies play free of charge (limit of two goalies)

HST is not included.

Stick and Puck allows participants to drop-in and practice skating, stickhandling, and passing skills. CSA approved hockey helmets with a full mask are mandatory for children. CSA approved hockey helmets are recommended for adults. Participants must bring their own stick. Pucks are provided. Instructional hockey, teams, gameplay, and private instruction are not permitted. Hockey nets, skating aids, and other training equipment are not permitted. Parents/guardians must accompany their children on the ice, wearing skates. Maximum of three (3) children per parent/guardian on-ice.

Iroquois Park Sports Centre is Canada's largest municipally owned and operated multi-use sports complex. It is surrounded by 50 acres of parkland.
