The Gordon Street Public Boat Ramp is typically open between April 15th and November 15th. If you are planning to launch or haul your boat outside of these dates, please contact the marina office.
Boat Launch
Port Whitby Marina works to make it easy to launch or haul your boat in or out of the harbour. We offer a public boat ramp on the north west side of the harbour and a full service marina on the north east side of the harbour. You can access the Gordon Street Public Boat Ramp by land at 650 Gordon St. in Whitby.

Gordon Street Public Boat Ramp size restrictions
No commercial vehicles or hydraulic trailers are permitted at this facility *. The Gordon Street Boat Ramp is intended for public use to launch small trailer-able boats only.
Please contact Port Whitby Marina to Launch:
- Commercial Boats
- Boats hauled on Hydraulic Trailers
- Boats larger than 25 feet in length
- Boats exceeding 3' draft
The ramp has a gradual slope and ridged concrete base for excellent traction, and can facilitate three trailers simultaneously. The parking lot beside the boat ramp has lots of room to park your vehicle and trailer.
