With the Civic Holiday on Monday, August 2, here’s a look at what Town amenities and services are open or closed over the holiday period.

Today, Thursday, April 1, the Ontario government announced that the entire province – including the Town of Whitby – will move into a shutdown effective this Saturday, April 3, at 12:01 a.m.
The shutdown will be in place for at least a period of four weeks. The Ontario government will reassess the need for continued shutdowns after that period.

Visitors to the Whitby Civic Recreation Complex (CRC) will soon have access to improved and more accessible programming space and family change rooms thanks to $3.5 million in federal and provincial grant funding awarded to the Town of Whitby earlier today.

Today, Tuesday, January 12, the Ontario government announced a stay-at-home order and declared a second state of emergency for the province, in addition to further restrictions and enforcement under the current province-wide lockdown.
The stay-at-home order is effective as of this Thursday, January 14 at 12:01 a.m. The state of emergency is effective immediately and will be re-evaluated by the Province in 14 days.
