We are not accepting special event permit applications until 2021 due to provincial gathering limits for COVID-19.
To apply for a special events permit, follow these steps and make sure that you review and follow all relevant by-laws. You can also view the Special Events User Guide for complete details.
Contact us and we will give you a copy of the application material. We will also help you determine the permits, location availability and approvals you will need to start the application process.

Application review |
Our Special Events Review Team will review your completed application and site plan. We may ask for revisions of your application and supporting documents (Insurance, SOP, Noise Exemption, Permits and Fire Safety Plan etc.). A site visit may also be scheduled. |
Event permit issued |
Congratulations! At this stage, your special events permit is approved when you sign the application and make the payment. You must keep the special events permit and have it available during the event. |
The fees cover the cost of processing a special events permit application including staff time and our review. The fees depend on the number of people expected for your event.
