Whitby Hiring 300+ Workers to Support 2026 Municipal Election

Interested residents invited to apply by June 30 at whitby.ca/VOTE

 

The Town of Whitby is now hiring election workers for the 2026 Municipal Election, taking place on Monday, October 26, 2026.More than 300 workers will help support voting across Whitby at local schools and community gathering places on Voting Day, October 26, and during the Advance Vote Period, October 22 to October 25, 2026. Paid positions offer residents an opportunity to play a direct role in supporting local democracy while gaining valuable customer service experience.

Applications are now open at whitby.ca/VOTE, where interested residents can learn more about available positions, pay rates, training, qualifications, and work schedules. The deadline to apply is June 30, 2026, at 4:30 p.m.

Available positions include Vote Tabulator Operator, Deputy Returning Officer, Poll Clerk, and Greeter. The Town is particularly interested in applicants with previous election experience, strong customer service skills, and intermediate to advanced computer knowledge.

Interviews will take place in July and August. Only applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.
