Watch Your Mail: Whitby Voter Notification Cards Are On the Way

Know where and when to vote in Whitby’s 2026 Municipal Election

Whitby’s Municipal Election is just over two weeks away, and residents are encouraged to watch their mail for their Voter Notification Card.

Voter Notification Cards are being mailed to eligible electors whose names appear on Whitby’s Voters’ List. Each card includes the elector’s ward, school support, and qualifying address, along with important information about voting dates and locations.

Residents should check the information on their card when it arrives. If you do not receive a card or any of the information is incorrect, visit whitby.ca/VOTE to check or update your Voters’ List information, or contact the Office of the Town Clerk.

Electors can make updates online through the Town’s Plan Your Vote tool until 4:30 p.m. on October 23 and can also update their information in-person at a voting location during the voting period from October 22 to October 26.

Vote Anywhere in Whitby

Whitby voters have three convenient ways to cast their ballot this fall:

1)    Special Mail-in Ballot: Eligible Voters who are unable to vote in-person can apply for a Special Mail-in Ballot. Learn more about application deadlines and details on how to vote by mail.

2)    Advance Vote: will take place October 22 to 25 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at three locations across Whitby.

3)    Election Day: on Monday, October 26, voters can cast their ballot from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at any of 19 voting locations.

Eligible voters can choose to cast their ballot at the voting location that works best for them - regardless of which ward they live in.

Those voting in-person must bring one piece of identification showing their name and Whitby address. Bringing your Voter Notification Card can help make the voting process quicker.

A total of 47 candidates will appear on Whitby ballots this fall. See who is running in the 2026 Municipal Election.
