Get Vote-Ready for Whitby’s 2026 Municipal Election
Know when, where, and how you’ll vote before Election Day arrives
Election Day may still be six weeks away, but now is the time to make sure you’re ready to vote in Whitby’s 2026 Municipal Election.
A few minutes of planning now can help make voting easier when the time comes. Start by visiting whitby.ca/VOTE, where the Town’s Plan Your Vote online tool brings together the information you need to prepare.
Use the tool to:
- Check or update your information on the Voters’ List
- Find where and when to vote
- Learn about the candidates
- Make a voting plan that works for you
Choose When You’ll Vote
You don’t have to wait until Election Day to cast your ballot. Advance voting will take place from October 22 to 25 at three voting locations.
On Monday, October 26, voters can cast their ballot at one of 19 voting locations.

Voting by Mail Is Also an Option
For those who prefer or need to vote without visiting a voting location, a special mail-in ballot is available. Electors who want to vote by mail must apply through the Office of the Town Clerk by:
- Mail – no later than October 4, 2026 (last day to mail to ensure delivery by Canada Post)
- Email – no later than October 11, 2026
- In-person – no later than October 21, 2026 at 4:30 p.m.
