- From the north: Highway 12 South (This route passes directly through Downtown Brooklin and Downtown Whitby)
- From the north-west: Highway 407 East (Toll Route) to Highway 412 South or Highway 12
- From the north-east: Highway 407 West (Toll Route) to Highway 412 South or Highway 12
- From the west: Highway 401 East and exit at either Lakeridge Road, Brock Street South, or Thickson Road South
- From the east: Highway 401 West and exit at either Lakeridge Road, Brock Street South, or Thickson Road South

By Go Train

Whitby is accessible by air via three main airports:
- Pearson International Airport: Located 45 minutes west of Whitby via Highway 401. The airport is accessible to international and domestic travellers.
- Billy Bishop Airport: Located in downtown Toronto, 45 minutes south-west of Whitby via Highway 401 and Don Valley Parkway. This airport is accessible to travellers from across North America.
