Lottery Licences

The Town of Whitby issues lottery licence to eligible charities, non-profit organizations, and religious organizations within the community. Visit the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) for more details about lottery licence applications.

Before you apply

If you are not currently licensed by the Town or have not been licensed in the past two years to conduct a lottery, then you need to complete and submit the Lottery Licensing Eligibility Application. You'll need to provide the following information to confirm your eligibility:

  • The constitution or by-laws for the organization
  • Letters Patent (if applicable)
  • List of current Board members (name, position, contact information)
  • Membership list (if applicable)
  • Brochures, pamphlets or other material describing the programs and services provided by the organization
  • Revenue Canada Notification of Charitable Designation (if applicable)
  • Most recent documents filed with Revenue Canada
  • Operating budget for the current and past year
  • Must recent financial statements
