Brooklin Community Centre - 8 Vipond Road

Event times - 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

  • Balloon artist
  • Magic shows at 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
  • Preschool fun! Learn about preschool programs, play some games, colour or do a craft.
  • Recreation drop-in family fun up to ages 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Recreation drop-in family basketball up to ages 10 from 12:15 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Tim Hortons products will be available on site while supplies last!

Sensory Space: 

Whitby's Accessibility Advisory Committee is excited to offer a Sensory Space in the Optimist Room at the Brooklin Community Centre and Library during the Family Day event. 

Discover our Sensory Space, a calm and welcoming retreat with soft lighting and soothing tools designed to help people of all ages relax, reset, and feel comfortable when environments become overwhelming. The Sensory Space offers a supportive place to pause and recharge.

Family Skate: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.

Parent & Tot Skate: 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Skating for 1 adult with a maximum of 2 children, 7 years and under.

Family Stick and Puck: 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Ratio of one (1) adult and maximum of two (2) children. Adults must be on the ice with children, wearing skates. CSA approved hockey helmets with a full mask are mandatory for children and recommended for adults. Must bring your own stick. Children ages 7 years and under.

Luther Vipond Memorial Arena - 67 Winchester Rd. E.

Family Skate: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

McKinney Centre - 222 McKinney Dr.

Family Skate: 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Please note that we do not offer skate rentals at any of our arena locations. We strongly recommend the use of CSA-approved head protection for all ice activities.
