
National Indigenous Peoples Day takes place on June 21 each year. This is a day for all Canadians to recognize and celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.
Join us at Rotary Sunrise Lake Park with view of Lake Ontario for an evening of energetic performances including traditional dancing, smudging ceremony, the All-Nations Juniors Drum Group and storytelling/singing with Ojibwe Anishinaabe Grandmother, Kim Wheatley from Shawanaga First Nation Reserve.
