• Some trees that are Town-owned may not yet appear in the system.

• This map should not be relied upon as a definitive source for determining whether a tree is publicly or privately owned.

Tree Ownership

Ownership is based solely on the tree’s physical location, not on who planted it.

• If a tree is located on your property, you are responsible for its care and maintenance, in accordance with any relevant Town or Region Tree Policies and By-laws.

• If a tree is located on municipal property or other public lands, it is the Town’s responsibility.

• Certain trees, such as Boundary Trees, may fall under unique circumstances. For confirmation, please contact us.
