Upgraded Connect Whitby platform makes sharing feedback with the Town even easier

There’s a new look and feel to Connect Whitby – the Town of Whitby’s online engagement site – and it’s all about making it easier for residents to take part in Town decision making.

Connect Whitby is designed to help residents stay informed, share ideas, and have a voice in local projects and decisions. This site upgrade gives residents, businesses, and visitors a more mobile-friendly, modern, engaging, and seamless user experience - whether they’re following a project, completing a survey, or joining the conversation.

Key improvements include:

  • Enhanced engagement tools, offering dozens of new ways to share your feedback, including through interactive mapping tools.
  • More intuitive navigation that helps participants quickly and easily identify projects open for engagement.
  • A dynamic new design that modernizes the look and feel of the site while enhancing the user experience.
  • Improved usability and mobile optimization, making it easier to access services anytime, on any device.
  • AI-based reporting, making it easier for the Town to review data, garner insights, and report back to the community on results.

This refresh supports a key goal in Whitby’s Community Strategic Plan: to deliver responsive, customer-focused service. It’s part of the Town’s broader digital transformation, which emphasizes transparency, community engagement, smart use of technology, and long-term sustainability through strong partnerships and good planning.

For existing Connect Whitby participants, there is one small step to complete your move to the new site: the next time you visit connectwhitby.ca, you’ll be asked to reset your password by clicking “Forgot Password.” It’s a quick, one-time step to access your account and continue receiving updates through this updated platform.
