Notice of Intention to Remove a Holding Symbol (H)
A meeting will be held on June 8, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 575 Rossland Road East, Whitby, to consider the removal of a Holding (H) symbol from from By-law 2585, as amended, in accordance with the Planning Act R.S.O. 1990, to permit the development of an apartment dwelling six storeys in height with 27 dwelling units at 121 John Street East.
Pursuant to the provisions of the Planning Act, this is not a public meeting and rights of appeal are limited to the applicant. Notice has been given in accordance with the Planning Act to those individuals within the land affected by the application and those individuals and agencies who requested through the Town Clerk, further notice of meetings related to the lifting of the Holding (H) symbol. If you wish to receive a copy of the amending by-law or the refusal to the request, you must make a written request to the Town Clerk, Corporation of the Town of Whitby, 575 Rossland Road East, Whitby, Ontario, L1N 2M8.
