Town Announces Celebrating Youth Award WinnersCelebrate the giving spirit of Whitby youth
Seventeen Whitby youth have been selected as this year’s Celebrating Youth Award winners in recognition of their outstanding leadership and positive contributions to the community.
Together, this year’s award winners were recognized for:
- volunteering for school councils and events;
- participating as positive role models within school teams;
- fundraising and volunteering for organizations like The Denise House, Footprints, 4 Autism, Durham Regional Police.

Mayor Elizabeth Roy’s statement on Nova’s ArkI’m pleased that Nova’s Ark has formally withdrawn a request for exemption from the Town of Whitby’s Prohibited and Regulated Animals Bylaw.
Nova’s Ark is a registered charity based in Whitby that provides programs for people of all abilities, including animal-assisted therapy.
