Procurement

The Procurement Services Division of our Financial Services Department is responsible for the procurement of goods, services and construction in the Town.

Their duties are to:

• Provide fair, open and transparent bid opportunities to contractors and suppliers
• Acquire goods and services as economically as possible through price, quality and delivery
• Work with the core values of the Corporation and in an ethical, professional and accountable manner

Invoice Requirements

We require that you note a valid Purchase Order number on packing slips and on all invoices to properly process payments.

Memberships of the Procurement Division

Procurement staff maintain a membership and follow the ethics of these associations in their duties:

• NIGP The Institute for Public Procurement
• Ontario Public Buyers Association
• Supply Chain Canada

We are a member of the Durham Purchasing Co-Operative Group. We strive to promote consistency, efficiency and a best value approach in the purchase of goods and services for the Town.
