Upcoming Road Closure To Replace White Bridge
The Town is replacing White Bridge on Columbus Road west of Country Lane. 
The 94-year-old structure is being replaced as it has reached the end of its service life.
Construction is expected to be completed in two stages:
- Tree removals to facilitate bridge construction – tentatively scheduled for January 29 to March 23, 2024.
- Bridge removal and reconstruction – the existing bridge will be removed and a new bridge will be constructed. Work is anticipated to commence in spring/summer of 2024 and last approximately two years.
During construction, Columbus Road will be closed to traffic between Country Lane and Coronation Road. Access to private residences will be permitted. During the closures, residents should take alternate routes, follow the posted
detour signage, and avoid the construction area.
Information will continue to be communicated to residents through mailouts, the Town’s website, and social media channels.
