The Town is aglow with Christmas lights and holiday magic is in the air. Looking for something fun to do this holiday season? We’ve got you covered and rounded up the Town’s top activities to help get you in the festive mood: 

1.    Whitby Lights The Night Festival

On Friday, November 21 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., join us as we kick off the festive season and light up Whitby Civic Park with over 200,000 magical lights. Enjoy live music, cookie decorating, maple taffy, photo ops, entertainment, a visit from Santa, and more. The Whitby Farmers’ Market will also be on-site. The event is co-sponsored by Tim Hortons and powered by Elexicon Energy. whitby.ca/LightsTheNight

2.    Brooklin’s Christmas in the Village

Embrace the charm of small-town traditions with family and friends in Downtown Brooklin on Saturday, November 22, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Enjoy family-friendly festivities including a Christmas Market, Optimist Club Pancake Breakfast, Brooklin Legion Lunch BBQ, United Church Sing-Along, library story time, photo ops, crafts, skating, trolley rides, Santa visits, and more. 3.    Attend The Santa Claus Parade

The Santa Claus Parade is back on Saturday, December 6, starting at 10 a.m., moving through Downtown Whitby. Santa Claus and his friends will be travelling along Brock Street from Manning Road to Trent Street – don’t miss your chance to wave hello as they pass by. 

4.    Enjoy Winter Drop-In Activities

Looking to make the most of winter break and keep the kids entertained? The Town operates a number of drop-in programs for children, including basketball and Preschool Fun Play Group. View the schedule at whitby.ca/DropInSports

5.    Lace Up Your Skates

Take a spin around the rink with your friends and family at Iroquois Park Sports Centre or McKinney Centre this holiday season. Check out the schedule of public skating at whitby.ca/Skating.
