Notice Of Upcoming Hockey Tournaments & Town Impacts

Iroquois Park Sports Centre and McKinney Centre will host The Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) Championship events on the weekends of March 27 to 29 and April 3 to 5. Hosting these Championships will bring a positive economic impact to the local community through sport tourism. 

Here’s what you need to know:

Parking: More than 13,000 people are expected to visit our facilities during the tournaments and parking will be limited on event days. If you are attending the tournaments, arrive early to secure onsite parking.

Recreation Programs: recreation programming, including drop-in recreational swimming and leadership programs, will continue at Town facilities. Please arrive early to secure parking. There will be some recreational skating cancellations due to the tournaments. View the skating schedule at whitby.ca/Skate. 

Quick Facts:

·    Food and drinks are available at concessions snack bars, vending machines, and at BarDown Gastropub (at Iroquois Park Sports Centre).

·    The Hemy Hockey pro-shop at Iroquois Park Sports Centre offers skate sharpening and a range of products. Check their website for detailed hours.
