Mayor Roy's August 16 statement on Audmax's changed plans to open a halfway house on Lupin Drive

Whitby Mayor Elizabeth Roy issued the following statement on August 16, 2024 in response to a company called Audmax's changed plans to open a halfway house on Lupin Drive:

As part of my commitment to keeping residents informed, I wanted to share that we have just been advised that Audmax will not be proceeding with their proposed halfway house on Lupin Drive in Whitby. Correctional Service of Canada has been advised the same. I thank our community members for their patience as we worked to get more information on this proposal.
