Help Shape Whitby’s Re-Think Waste Plan

The Town is developing its first ever Re-Think Waste Plan to guide how waste can be reduced, managed, and diverted in Town facilities and public spaces like parks and trails.

Why Re-Think Waste?

The Re-Think Waste Plan will:

• Identify actions the Town can take to reduce and prevent waste;
• Increase waste diversion opportunities through reuse, recycling, composting, and recovery; and
• Introduce a standardized design for public-facing waste bins across the community.

What's Next

Survey feedback will be used to inform the development of the draft Re-Think Waste Plan, which is expected to be presented to Council in December 2025.
