First-Ever Home Sweet Home Festival Takes Over Downtown Whitby This Saturday
Whitby’s first Home Sweet Home Festival arrives this Saturday, July 26, transforming Downtown Whitby into a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly celebration of all things local.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. this all-day event will showcase the things that make Whitby home and an exceptional place to live, work, and explore — from local culture and history to food, art, and family fun.
Enjoy:
- live entertainment and cultural performances;
- an Artisan Marketplace and Whitby Farmers’ Market;
- historic walking tours and Lynde House Museum activities;
- outdoor patios & Downtown Whitby BIA business specials;
- an exciting family zone featuring a 300-foot zipline; and

Getting There & Parking
To make your visit smooth and seamless, consider the following transportation options:
Free Shuttle Service
- Pick up at the Henry Street lot south of the Whitby GO Station (across from Iroquois Park Sports Centre).
- Drop off at the Whitby Public Library (west side of the event).
- Operates every 10 minutes from 9:50 a.m. to 4:20 p.m.
Festival Trolley & Trackless Train
- Hop on and off at key locations around the event to explore different areas with ease.
Road Closures & Parking Restrictions
To ensure a safe, walkable experience, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on event day several road closures and parking restrictions will be in effect. View a map of closures and parking restrictions.
