Facility Rentals

Whether you are looking to rent a banquet facility for a special occasion, host a workshop or conference, or celebrate a birthday party, we have a facility to meet your specific needs. Many of the Town's arenas and dedicated community centres can also be rented for special events.

Booking a Facility

To make an appointment to see a facility or to make a booking, please call 905.668.7765 or email facilities@whitby.ca. You can reserve or search for facility information and availability using the Town's online Smart Link system. To begin, select the function and type of facility that you are interested in renting. Then choose a specific recreation complex (if applicable), and click Search.

The Brooklin Community Centre, located at the corner of Church Street and Cassels Road, served as the Bible Christian Church from 1876 to 1920. In 1920, the church was converted into the Township Hall, where municipal offices operated for 46 years. In 1966, it became the Brooklin Community Centre and has continued serving community members as a meeting place for a wide variety of functions.

The Brooklin Community Centre and Library is a 3,716 square metre, two storey building incorporating open areas within a natural forest setting. The centre includes a branch library, pre-school program, senior's activity room, youth centre, and numerous facilities that you can rent including:

Heydenshore Pavilion is located within 15 acres of scenic parkland in Heydenshore Kiwanis Park. The park is on the shore of Lake Ontario adjacent to Whitby Shores Waterfront Trail, with a spectacular view of the lake from its open patio. This hall is perfect for any event up to 300 people for a dinner / dance or 400 people for a theatre style seating event. There is parking for over 300 cars located directly across the street and the building is wheel chair accessible. The park has mature trees, walking/cycling trails, a sand beach, a picnic shelter, play areas, a water spray park, a playground, washrooms and change areas - the perfect location for your company or family picnic.
