We have developed our arena health and safety protocols for COVID-19 to align with the policies and regulations of:
All sport activities must be played by the rules and policies of the appropriate sport's governing body, including safe return-to-play protocols. Amateur and recreational sports leagues may resume so long as they do not allow prolonged or deliberate physical contact between players or if they have modifications to avoid physical contact between players.
Please view our current COVID-19 protocols to ensure you're healthy not exhibiting symptoms.
All participants and spectators are required to wear a mask indoors at all times.
If you have a rental permit, the permit holder (or organization/team official) is responsible for screening and contact tracing for all participants and spectators entering the facility.
Teams are permitted to enter the facility no earlier than 10 minutes prior to their designated rental times as long as screening and contact tracing has been completed for all participants. The team and all spectators must enter together, partially dressed (bottom halves on and under gear on top). Participants should bring a full water bottle.
Spectators aren't allowed to come and go and must remain at the team's designated change space within the arena for the entire ice time until leaving the facility with their participant. Spectators are not permitted to gather in the lobby areas of the arenas at any time.
We have set up proper entries into each ice pad to maintain physical distancing.
Water fountains and water bottle filling stations are closed.
A designated gender neutral washroom will be available for each arena.
Change rooms and change areas are open for use and sanitized after each group. You should physically distance as much as possible when using the change areas. You will have 10 minutes in the change area before and following your time. Change room capacity limits will be posted outside the rooms.
Showers are not available for participants.
Concessions, pro shops and customer service desks are not available.
Warm-ups are not allowed inside the facilities under any circumstances.
Players' benches are available for use during your activity. Participants should physically distance as much as possible when using the benches. All non-participants (e.g., coaches, trainers) are required to wear a mask while on the bench.
To ensure physical distancing, all participants should not:
Team officials not participating in on-ice activities must remain in their designated change area. They are not permitted to cross through arena space or change areas to view on-ice activities from the players' bench area.
Each rental includes a 10-minute flood.
Currently, leagues must contain no more than 50 participants in total. If participants exceed 50 people, the league may divide into smaller groups of no more than 50. Players are not permitted to play against players outside of their league or group.
No more than 30 participants are permitted on the ice, including coaches, instructors and team officials. There are no exceptions.
The total number of spectators that are permitted in the arena at any one time is limited to the number that can maintain a physical distance of at least two metres from every other person. Only one spectator (e.g., parent or guardian) per participant is permitted. If a member of the team staff (e.g., coaches, trainers or managers) are on-site to support their participant for the activity, that person is considered a spectator and no other spectator for that participant will be permitted on-site, including spouses, partners or siblings.
We will clean all fixed structures, such as benches and change rooms, after each permit. We clean all available washroom facilities as per Public Health Ontario regulations.
Participants and spectators must properly dispose of any garbage and exit the arena through the designated path or travel points by 10 minutes after rental.
