On Monday, March 29, 2021, the Town of Whitby will hold a public meeting about transportation-related changes to Whitby’s Official Plan.

About the Proposed Transportation Amendment

The proposed Amendment will update certain transportation policies and “Schedule D” - Transportation map in the Town’s Official Plan, to conform to the Durham Region Official Plan.

Ahead of the public meeting, a copy of the public meeting report outlining the details of the proposed Amendment will be available for review online on Civic Web after Monday, March 22, 2021.

Public Comment and Appearing Before Council

Any person may make written representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Amendment. Written submissions should be directed to the Office of the Town Clerk no later than noon on Friday, March 26, 2021.

Any person wishing to speak at the meeting in support of or in opposition of the proposed Amendment should complete Delegation Request Form online at whitby.ca/delegations by 12 p.m. on Monday, March 29.

Members of the public who do not wish to make a delegation but would like to view the meeting may do so through the Town’s live stream feed at whitby.ca/livestream on Monday, March 29 at 7 p.m.

Written comments received before the meeting and submissions made at the public meeting will be considered by Council before the proposed Amendment is adopted by Council.
