Know when to stay home

Please don't schedule an appointment if you feel unwell or experience symptoms such as

• Difficulty breathing or severe chest pain
• Feeling confused or faint
• Feverish
• Coughing or shortness of breath
• Sore throat or difficulty swallowing
• Runny nose, sneezing, nasal congestion
• Hoarse voice
• Lost sense of taste or smell
• Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or abdominal pain
• Fatigue, headache or chills

You should also stay home if you've travelled outside of Canada in the last 14 days or been in close contact* with:

• Someone who has tested positive for COVID-19
• Someone who has been tested for COVID-19 and not received their results
• Someone in isolation or have cared for someone in isolation

*Close contact means you've been within two metres away of someone for more than 15 minutes.

Wear a non-medical face mask or covering

As a shared public space, you must wear a non-medical face mask or covering inside all of our facilities. Please ensure that your mask is securely fastened and covers both your nose and mouth. Learn more about wearing masks and face coverings in Durham Region.

Exemptions

The following exemptions exist:

• Young children under the age of two don't need to wear a mask
• If you have a medical condition or disability that makes it difficult to wear a mask, you don't need to wear one. Please be honest about your medical exemption
• If you have religious reasons that oppose wearing a mask, you don't need to wear one

Check your arrival time and location

Please arrive no more than five minutes ahead of your scheduled appointment time.

Town Hall

When visiting Town Hall located at 575 Rossland Rd. E., please enter through the east doors. You can park your vehicle at the south and east ends of the building.

Whitby Civic Recreation Complex

When visiting Whitby Civic Recreation Complex located at 555 Rossland Rd. E., please enter through the main doors. You can park your vehicle at the north side of the building.

Anne Ottenbrite Pool - Iroquois Parks Sports Centre

When visiting the Anne Ottenbrite Pool, located at the Iroquois Parks Sports Centre (500 Victoria St. W.), please enter through the main doors. You can park your vehicle at the front of the building.

Complete our health and safety screening questionnaire

When you arrive, we'll provide a brief health and safety screening questionnaire. You must complete the questionnaire at the door before entering. Our staff will admit you into the facility when you have finished and if they deem it is safe for you to enter.

Maintain physical distance

Please keep a minimum of two metres' distance between yourself and others at all times during your visit.
