Please note we are not taking on new volunteers at this time, due to COVID-19 and the cancellation of many of our in-person events. We are working to realign our Volunteer Training, as well as volunteer opportunities at future events to comply with COVID-19 Health and Safety regulations. As our community practices physical distancing, we all need to do our part and stay apart, and limit our contact with others.

Stay tuned for future updates on our Volunteer program!

Volunteering provides an opportunity to learn new skills, make connections and contribute to our community. Whitby’s strong and enthusiastic community of volunteers is a pillar of our vibrant, active and welcoming Town and in 2020 Festivals and Events Ontario recognized Whitby’s Event Volunteer Program as the best in Ontario.

Each year, the Town hosts eight large scale annual community events and a series of summer event programming supported by more than 160 volunteers. Collectively, the Town’s event volunteers dedicate close to 1000+ hours of their time annually at events that attract over 75,000 people.

We invite new and returning volunteers to be a part of something fun, inspiring and engaging. We value volunteers and are committed to supporting your success.
