Whitby In Bloom is one of the Town's civic beautification programs promoting civic pride, environmental responsibility and beautification through community participation and the challenge of a friendly competition. Whitby In Bloom has put down roots in the community for five years. It is a home-grown program based on the international Communities In Bloom program. Whitby In Bloom promotes civic pride and is a program made strong by the efforts of community volunteers. Dedicated volunteers invest many hours during the fall, winter and spring ensuring the Whitby In Bloom program is successful and available to all.

upRegistration is required to participate in the Front Garden Challenge. The registration deadline for 2010 is Friday, July 2. Volunteer judges view the portion of registered gardens that can be seen from the road as part of the Front Garden Challenge. The Whitby In Bloom committee recruits local volunteers.
All registrants receive a garden sign denoting participation in the program.
Judges takes place annually over a 7-14 day period. This year, judging will occur from July 10 - 18.
