Duck Race tickets are available at the following locations: Whitby Civic Recreation Complex, Whitby Seniors' Activity Centre, Iroquois Park Sports Centre and participating retailers. Mayor Pat Perkins invites you to the 2010 Whitby County Town Carnival. Enjoy free activities including; live entertainment, jumping castles, balloon bender, petting zoo, Station Gallery art activities and more. Visit the community information displays and LACAC Heritage Whitby at the historic Lynde House c.-1812-1814. Carnival games and food are available onsite for a nominal fee. FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!
Centennial Park / Grass Park
Enjoy the outdoors Wednesday and Thursday evenings this summer. Music In the Park is a program that has developed over the past decade and has grown from one location to two thanks to local sponsors who support this program. Enjoy local musicians as they perform at Rotary Centennial Park on Wednesday evenings, or at Grass Park in Brooklin on Thursday evenings, June through August. This is a great opportunity for the whole family to attend and support local artists while enjoying the outdoors in these two beautiful parks.
Celebration Square
Don't miss a variety of music, art and theatre at Celebration Square every Tuesday evening July through August at 7 pm. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy this unique setting at the main branch o the Whitby Pubic Library at 405 Dundas Street.

The event highlights Whitby's harbour facilities including Port Whitby Marina, Whitby Yacht Club, James Rowe House and the Lions Promenade and Waterfront Trail. Enjoy free activites and live entertainment. Visit vendors and artisans. Enjoy the Dentistry on Dundas Fireworks spectacular at dusk.
The Harvest Marketplace sets the scene with its array of fruits and vegetables, flowers & plants. Enjoy strolling through the park and taking an old fashion horse & wagon ride. There are balloons, crafts & games for kids, a nail driving contest, displays and demonstrations, a duck pond and an assortment of activities to entertain and amaze. Come cheer on the Brooklin Mini Idol contestants and enjoy entertainment throughout the day. Don't miss the Annual Harvest Run/Walk first thing in the morning or the Youth Fest at the Brooklin Community Centre in the afternoon. There is something for everyone at Harvest Festival.

SANTA IS COMING ! Come help Santa light the Christmas Tree at Whitby's Celebration Square as we kick off the Festive Season. Come sing Carols and enjoy entertainment and warm up with Hot Chocolate and Cookies. Don't forget to bring an unwrapped toy for the "Stuff A Bug" Toy Drive.
The Brooklin Downtown Business Assocation will be hosting their fifth annual outdoor art show in Brooklin. Mature artists will showcase their talents on the grounds of Grass Park. A local band will be on stage at the pavilion for the duration of the show. There will activities for the children, refreshments, artists demonstrations and so much more. Come, meet the artists and support our local talent!
Take in some of the many agricultural shows, whether it be the Beef Show, Rabbit Show, Farrier Competition or the Horse Pull - there is something for everyone. Come to the arena to see demonstrations of local crafts, baking and quilt work as well as other entries in the Homecraft area. On the arena stage, there will be a wide variety of entertainment and contests including the Spelling Bee and Baby Show. The popular Demolition Derby will take place on the track Thursday and Saturday nights and the roar of the Tractor Pull can be heard on Friday night.
The Santa Claus Parade has been an integral part of family life in Whitby, and JCI Whitby is proud and honoured to be able to continue such a special and memorable tradition.
