Swimming

The Town of Whitby operates two 25 metre indoor pools with public swimming, aquafit classes and swimming lessons for all ages. The Red Cross Learn to Swim program as well as leadership courses  teach participants in-depth safety skills, improve confidence, and promote swimming as part of a healthy, active lifestyle.

Facilities and programs at the Anne Ottenbrite pool include:

• 25-metre, deep water pool
• Tarzan rope
• Kiddie pool with spray feature 
• Family change rooms and locker area
• Programs - recreational, parent and tot, special needs and lane swims; aquafit; and swimming lessons for all ages Red Cross Learn to Swim programs and leadership courses 
• Available for rent Sundays from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Whitby Civic Recreation Complex Pool

Amenities and programs at the Whitby Civic Recreation Complex include:

• 25-metre, one depth leisure pool
• Toddler pool with graduated depth
• Splash area
• Amusement slide and spray pad
• Co-ed on-deck sauna
• Family change rooms and locker area
• Programs - recreational, parent and tot, special needs and lane swims; aquafit; and shallow water Red Cross Learn to Swim programs
• Available for rent Saturday and Sundays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
