Whitby Seniors Services offers recreational classes, leisure programs, support services, volunteer opportunities, and transportation to recreational facilities within the Town for residents 55 years of age or older.

Facility Closures and Program Notices
Programs may be cancelled to accommodate a special event or facility maintenance. The Town provides program notices and facility closure information under Facility Closures and Program Notices. Program cancellations and notices are posted in the Public Notices section three weeks prior to the date. We make every effort to provide advance notice of cancellations and you can subscribe to the Public Notices RSS feed to receive up-to-date information as it happens.

Health and Wellness
Health and wellness seminars are offered at various times each month on a variety of topics such as nutrition, health care, hearing, horticulture, and fitness.
Instructional Classes and Workshops
Designed especially for seniors, instructional classes are offered in creative arts, computers, dance, fitness, general interest, music and drama, continuing education, and language.
Leagues and Sports Groups
Seniors can participate in various sporting groups. For more information on programs such as Pickleball, Badminton, Bowling, etc. check the Recreation Program Schedules.
Leisure Programs
Participants can select from a variety of different leisure drop-in programs including activities such as bridge, euchre, bid euchre, bingo, carpet bowling, darts, table tennis, shuffleboard, photography, book club and many more. A nominal drop-in fee may apply for these programs.

Trips and Travel
Seniors can choose from a wide range of Trips and Travel activities organized by Whitby Seniors Services in partnership with Lakeshore Tours and Travel. Trips range from one-day tours to multiple-day excursions to various international locations.
