Celebration Square
at the Whitby Central Public Library

The modern design of the Library and Celebration Square creates a series of spaces for public gatherings, which is tied to the pedestrian system of the downtown. The main reading hall serves as an extension of the public life of the square. The central atrium brings light into the heart of the building, creating a space of luminous serenity.

Celebration Square, adjacent to the Whitby Central Public Library, is an outdoor community gathering space. The Square offers Whitby residents the opportunity to enjoy arts and cultural events at a unique outdoor venue. Don't forget to check out the many events that are being planned for the square.
